Franciscan & Dominican Fraternity

A part of their Annual Novices’ Southern Tour, the West Coast Dominican Novices shared in the joyful fellowship that is so evident within our Franciscan Novitiate Family. The Novices of the Dominican Friars of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, along with their Novice Director of 18 years, Fr. Anthony Rosevear, O.P., passed through the three California Franciscan Novitiate houses (Capuchin Novitiate – Santa Inez, OFM Novitiate – Old Mission Santa Barbara & Conventual Novitiate – Arroyo Grande) this week to share in our fraternity.
Our friars of our Conventual Franciscan Novitiate hosted a cookout on Saturday, February 24th, and in between the hot dogs, hamburgers and freshly squeezed lemonade from the Novitiate’s own trees, the novices asked each other some perennial questions like, “How do you keep those white habits so clean?” They all hope to get together again for a few shared conferences before the end of this novitiate year.
