Bishop Robert J. Cunningham of Syracuse, Our Lady of the Angels Minister Provincial, Fr. James McCurry, OFM Conv. and Vicar Provincial, Fr. Brad Milunski, OFM Conv., were on hand at the July 1, 2013 dedication of the new St. Marianne Cope Museum, on the campus of St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Syracuse, NY. The Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities opened the museum to the public on July 8, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital which she founded. “Mother Marianne,” a Sister of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, was canonized on October 21, 2012. She is the first Franciscan woman from North American to be canonized, and only the 11th American saint.
