Minister Provincial Friar Michael Heine, OFM Conv., recently installed Friar Raad Eshoo, OFM Conv., into the Ministry of Lector. On their path to ordination, men are instituted into the ministries of Lector and Acolyte. Lectors are commissioned to proclaim the Word of God in the liturgical assembly and to instruct children and adults in the faith to prepare them to receive the Sacraments.
Friar Raad is a friar in Post-Novitiate, currently studying at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas. He made his Solemn Profession in 2024.
