“The Lord Gave Me Brothers”

A Message from Fr. Matthew Foley, OFM Conv.,
Director of Campus Ministry
Archbishop Curley High School:

On April 12th and 13th (2016), the Sophomores at Archbishop Curley High School made their annual retreat. The theme of the retreat was “The Lord Gave Me Brothers.”
The day was run by Junior and Senior ministers of the FLEX (Franciscan Leaders Encountering Christ) Team and included talks from the Senior peer ministers about their experiences of brotherhood and St. Francis, during their years at Curley. The Flex Team prepared all the team building activities and a guided meditation.  We were pleased to have Vocation Director, Friar Russell Governale, OFM Conv. join us both days. He was present for all the activities and presided & preached at Mass about what being a brother to Jesus and Francis means to him.
One of the Archbishop Curley High School Peer Ministers has been accepted as a Postulant for Our Lady of the Angels Province next year. We pray that more young men will continue to accept God’s invitation to follow Jesus in the way of Francis.
