Embracing Love: A Vocation Prayer

Prayer Card - Vocations

Vocations Prayer Card (front)

To encourage vocations, “Embracing Love: A Vocation Prayer” was composed by Our Lady of the Angels Province Friar, Fr. Michael Lasky, OFM Conv. and was used at Masses celebrated at the Newman Student Center Parish, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he is the Administrator. It is included on one side of a new 6″x4″prayer card, with the picture above on the other. They have been reprinted for distribution, thanks to the efforts of Our Lady of the Angels Province Friar, Br. Andre Picotte, OFM Conv.
Help celebrate the 2015 Year of Consecrated Life by prayerfully considering making a donation of $10 per 20 cards to offset the costs of printing. We have made them available to you for your personal prayer and for the prayer of the people within your worship communities. If you are interested, please contact Ms. Sandy Miller at Sandym9358@aol.com.

Embracing Love: A Vocation Prayer

Loving and Generous God,
it is You who call us by name
and ask us to follow You.

Help us to grow in the Love
and Service of our Church
as we experience it today.

Give us the energy and courage
of Your Spirit as we make all things new.

Grant us faith-filled ministers
who will embrace Christ’s Mission
of love and justice.

Bless our faith community
by raising up dedicated, generous disciples
who will serve Your people as Sisters,
Friars, Priests, Deacons and Lay Ministers.

Open our hearts to hear Your call
and inspire us to know You better.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
