Fr. Carl Zdancewicz, OFM Conv. serves as Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church and Our Lady of Fatima Mission (Winston-Salem, NC). You will often find him, and two other friars living in community at Our Lady of the Angels Friary, visiting students as he attends school events and celebrates Mass for them at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School. Paul Lininger, OFM Conv. is the pastor of another one of our pastoral ministries in North Carolina; Blessed Sacrament Catholic Communty (Burlington, NC). You will often find him, and other three friars who live in community in the Blessed Sacrament Friary, serving Blessed Sacrament School. On the day depicted in this photo, the school families gathered on the school’s front lawn as Friar Paul blessed dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, and even a reptile!As the new school year began, friar Luis Palacios Rodriguez, OFM Conv. was there to greet the students of St. Stanislaus School. For over 100 years our friars have served the parish & school. Friar Luis is currently in his Apostolic Year in Formation with our province, living in community with seven friars, in our St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Friary (Chicopee, MA). His primary ministry is to the Senior Friars of our province who live in the area, while assisting at our pastoral ministry of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr.Fr. Dennis Grumsey, OFM Conv. serves our province as pastor of three (Baltimore, MD) parishes: St. Casimir Church, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and Saint Brigid Roman Catholic Church. You will still often find him at events and Masses at St. Casimir Catholic School, serving students from all three of his parish families. The ministries served by the four friars living in the St. Casimir Friary include five parishes, one high school, sacramental ministry to an Order of Religious as well as those they serve, and individual counseling. Several of our friars who serve in pastoral ministry throughout Our Lady of the Angels Province also enjoy a parish school, in which they are very present. These friars interact with the students through instruction, guidance or just plain fun activities, in addition to celebrating school Masses and other Sacramental Assistance.
Fr. Timothy Lyons, OFM Conv. serves as Parochial Vicar for St. Paul Catholic Church (Kensington, CT). He also works with the 3rd graders of Saint Paul School, helping to prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion. In this photo, he is holding a question and answer session with the class. There are five friars living in the St. Paul Friary; each serving as living Franciscan examples in different ministries for the parish and the school.
