Fray (Friar) Antonio Sandoval Poveda, OFM Conv. of our Convento Nuestra Señora de la Asunció, in Alajuela, Costa Rica C.A., professed his Solemn Vows on December 12, 2016 … The Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  His vows were received by Our Lady of the Angels Province Minister Provincial, the Very Reverend Fr. James McCurry, OFM Conv. in the Chapel of our St. Francis College in Moravia, San Jose. The day was celebrated by many of his confreres and friends, as well as members of his family. In addition to the local friars on hand, also participating in the celebration were some of our friars from the United States, including Br. James Moore, OFM Conv. (Silver Spring-MD), Fr. Rick Riccioli, OFM Conv (Syracuse-NY) and Fr. Justin Biase, OFM Conv. (Brooklyn-NY), and Minister Provincial of the Province of Our Lady of Consolation, the Very Reverend Fr. Jim Kent, OFM Conv.

While in Costa Rica, Br. Jim Moore, OFM Conv., who used to serve the volunteers of our FrancisCorps ministry, took the opportunity to share Sunday Mass (12-11-2016) at Manos Abiertas (one of the service sites) with some of this years FrancisCorps volunteers.
